The Web Ratna Awards aim at encouraging Ministries/States/Departments/Districts which have made significant contributions towards the implementation of electronic governance and shown an exemplary approach towards adopted innovation and ICT led initiatives towards administrative efficiency and transparency. Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices/Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply for the Web Ratna Awards.
All entries should be submitted online through this Web Ratna Awards website.
All the nomination entries must be supported by an Authorization Certificate as per the prescribed format given below, duly signed by the respective nominating authority. A scanned copy of the same should be submitted along with the online nomination. Original Certificate shall be sent to the National Portal Secretariat by post.
Nomination Submission Guidelines
- Register
Register with http://webratna.india.gov.in, by providing basic contact details of the contact point of the nomination. Shortly, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the registered email ID of the registrant along with the login details. The registrant must activate his/her login account by clicking the "Activate my login account" link.
- Nomination Template
Application in prescribed template of the following Award Categories need to be downloaded for filling it offline.
The Downloaded Form is to be filled offline and saved into a PDF file format for further submission.
Entries should be submitted strictly as per the respective category Submission Template.
The entries should be submitted in PDF (Portable Document Format) only and should not be more than 10 (ten) A4 size pages, as per the prescribed format given in the respective nomination template of the award category.
- Download Authorization Certificate
The Authorization Certificate is to be downloaded, filled and printed on the official letter head. This is to be signed as well as stamped by the nominating authority which is to be scanned for further submission along with the nomination.

- Online Submission of nomination
Login with the registration details using the credentials mailed to your registered mail id. Submit the application online along with the scanned Authorization Certificate, nomination and all necessary supporting documents in PDF format.
The last date of submission was 17th March 2012 and no entries beyond that date would be accepted. The selection committee has the right to may make changes in the date and latest information shall be published on the website for the same.
